Dr. Monaa is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over seven years of dedicated experience in psychiatric nursing. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, providing care for a broad range of mental health conditions including ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, substance use disorders, and chronic pain.

Compassion and empathy are at the heart of her approach to patient care.She believes in integrating evidence-based practices with a holistic perspective, recognizing the unique needs and circumstances of each individual. Her goal is to deliver treatment that not only addresses symptoms but promotes overall well-being. She provides thorough medication management and works collaboratively with therapists and other healthcare providers whenever needed, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and well-rounded support.

Her ourney in psychiatric nursing began after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Coppin State University. She started her professional career at Sheppard Pratt Hospital, where she worked on the child inpatient unit. This foundational experience ignited her passion for helping young people and their families navigate mental health challenges.


Professional Growth and Advocacy

She later pursued graduate studies at Wilkes University to further deepen my expertise in psychiatric care. As a travel nurse, she had the opportunity to work across the country, encountering diverse patient populations and healthcare settings. This exposure strengthened her commitment to advocating for accessible, inclusive care particularly for underserved and minority communities who often face barriers in accessing mental health services.

My name is Anthony  as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor at Agape Mental Health Services, I am dedicated to supporting individuals through their unique challenges. Inspired by the saying, “It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark,” I believe in the importance of preparation and resilience in the face of life's storms. It is natural to feel overwhelmed at times; stressors and past traumas can make life seem unmanageable, leaving us struggling to breathe or think clearly.

Feeling overwhelmed is a fundamental part of being human. Whether you are dealing with current stressors or the lingering effects of past trauma, these experiences can affect our ability to cope. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Psychology from West Virginia University, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding the connection between mental well-being and physical performance. Building on this foundation, I pursued a Master’s Degree in Social Work at Rutgers University. These academic experiences provided me with diverse perspectives and approaches that enrich my practice as a therapist.

My training has allowed me to incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to the unique needs of each client. I am skilled in Motivational Interviewing, which encourages clients to find their own reasons for change and growth. I also utilize Mindfulness practices to help clients stay present and manage stress, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to support clients in understanding and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns. By blending these methods, I aim to empower clients to reach their goals and achieve lasting well-being.

· Currently, I manage quality assurance initiatives, ensuring that our organization delivers the highest standard of care to our clients.

· I spent approximately ten years working closely with individuals with physical disabilities, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives and advocating for their needs.

· Mental Health Case Manager:

· For four years, I supported individuals facing mental health challenges, helping them access essential resources and services as a dedicated case manager.
